Parent Learning Evening in Year 4-6

Thank you to all whanau that came to our Parent Learning Evening. We loved chatting to you about what we do in the Hub and how to extend our lovely learners at home!

Akomanga Iwa Senior Assembly Friday 24th August

Akomanga Iwa proved what ROCKSTARS they are this week. We learnt 4 Chords (the clean version!) by Axis of Awesome. Axis of Awesome are a comedy band who found that loads of songs use the same 4 chords. They took snippets from each and combined them to make one awesome songs. Akomanga Iwa have been learning parts of the songs in groups before bringing it all together at the end. We hope you enjoyed our performance in Senior Assembly!

Akomanga Iwa's Trip to the Museum!

Akomanga Iwa took part in a fantastic trip to Auckland Museum on Wednesday 6th June. The learners had planned questions, activities and provocations to lead them round the museum. These questions were based on our three themes we were looking at in concept - bird life in New Zealand, plastic fantastic and Life in the Trenches.

All learners were fantastic and exploring all the resources. They made us very proud!
